The terms that apply when you purchase or use data from DemographicsData.US.
DemographicsData.US sells one-time data exports — Excel (.xlsx) files containing curated demographic, economic, housing, and education attributes for U.S. ZIP codes, cities, counties, and states. The underlying figures are sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS). Files are hand-prepared and delivered to the email address you provide at checkout.
You do not need to create an account to purchase. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email address you provide so we can deliver your file.
Pricing is one-time and shown in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Applicable taxes (if any) are added at checkout. Prices may change at any time, but the price you saw at checkout is the price you pay for that order.
When you purchase a file, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the data internally — for analysis, research, reports, presentations, marketing decisions, and similar purposes — including in client deliverables. You may not resell or redistribute the file as a standalone data product, nor make it publicly downloadable. The underlying ACS source data remains in the public domain; only our curation, structure, and presentation are licensed.

The data is sourced from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey, which publishes survey-based estimates with documented margins of error. We curate and reformat that data faithfully, but the files are provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for evaluating whether the data is suitable for your specific decisions.
You agree not to: (a) use the site or files for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to disrupt, attack, or reverse-engineer the site or its infrastructure; (c) misrepresent the source of the data; or (d) use the data to discriminate against any individual or group in violation of applicable law.
The DemographicsData.US name, logo, site design, and the curation, structure, and layout of our data files are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. The ACS source data is public domain; our value is in the selection, organization, and presentation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DemographicsData.US is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of your use of the site or the data files. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Your primary remedy if you are unsatisfied is the refund described in Section 5.
We may suspend or terminate access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms. The license to use files you have already purchased survives, subject to Section 4.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the United States, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
